Job description
Role Overview
This position is focused on generating insurance business through an assigned relationship or channel partner base in a defined area or zone. The role requires influencing partners so they can recommend insurance solutions to their customers, while also delivering strong pre-sales and post-sales support to both partners and clients. The objective is to meet business targets and sustain steady quarter-on-quarter growth.
Job Context and Key Challenges
The role operates in a market where demand can shift quickly, especially because the business largely depends on unit-linked products. Success also depends on working effectively with third-party partners who may have competing priorities. Another important challenge is balancing internal process requirements with the expectations of channel partners.
Key Result Areas
Target Achievement: Deliver premium and revenue goals through regular engagement with channel partners and by identifying all important decision-makers. Ensure relevant updates are shared with senior management.
Sales Process Execution: Keep sales and related processes running smoothly to unlock maximum business potential. Share any process updates or regulatory changes through suitable training modules.
Business Mix Optimization: Review business performance on a regular basis and escalate meaningful insights to supervisors to support a profitable business mix for the organization.
Persistency and Renewals: Meet persistency norms set by the company so renewals happen on schedule. Stay in contact with customers, address questions promptly, and help ensure renewals are completed on time.
Work Expectations
The role calls for consistent coordination with partners, strong follow-through on customer queries, and disciplined tracking of business performance. It also requires the ability to adapt to changing market conditions while maintaining compliance with internal processes and partner expectations.
