Job Overview
The Relationship Manager for Kisan Credit Card (KCC) customers is a crucial part of the Rural Banking team. This role is dedicated to providing customized financial solutions to KCC clients by acquiring new customers, expanding existing relationships, and ensuring high-quality service. Collaboration with product and operational teams is essential to enhance customer acquisition, servicing, and business growth, directly impacting the branch banking channel's goals with a focus on New-to-Bank clients and profitability improvements.
Primary Duties
- Boost liabilities by increasing account balances of existing KCC customers and expanding wallet share.
- Analyze account inflows and outflows to spot new business opportunities quickly.
- Engage customers regularly through communications such as mailers and calls sharing updates on interest rates, forex, and products.
- Generate sales leads for KCC via referrals, brokers, and other channels.
- Acquire new KCC customers utilizing thorough credit assessment and financial documentation skills.
- Apply expertise in liabilities, foreign exchange, trade finance, delinquency control, and relationship management to drive business volume growth.
- Manage the KCC customer portfolio by continuous monitoring, timely renewals, customer retention, and maintaining portfolio discipline with minimal deferrals and covenant breaches.
- Work cooperatively with branch banking teams to maximize synergy and integrate within the bank’s wider operations.
- Conduct competitor analysis and gather customer feedback to guide growth strategies.
- Propose and implement process enhancements to improve service delivery quality and efficiency across branches.
- Plan and execute sales promotions and marketing activities effectively.
- Understand the nuances of financial statements, credit assessment, and security documentation.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Attract and retain skilled personnel for key roles within the reporting framework.
- Oversee employee productivity, hiring quality, and turnover rates, implementing improvements as needed.
- Support teams strategically and operationally to meet growth objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in rural banking, credit products (KCC), or relationship management roles.
- Strong knowledge of KCC products and rural customer requirements.
- Proficient in credit assessment and managing financial documents.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and analytical skills.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on business expansion.
- High ethical standards and compliance awareness.
- Capable team leader familiar with performance management.
- Experience with banking operations, portfolio maintenance, and customer service excellence.
