About the role
The Compliance function combines regulatory know-how with data-led thinking to ensure products satisfy legal and policy obligations while still creating value for customers. In this fast-changing digital environment, the team focuses on scalable ways to manage conduct risk and stay ahead of regulatory change.
This position is for a Compliance Manager who will help build and roll out regulatory frameworks for credit features and new products. The role is focused on maintaining strong consumer protection practices, advising on regulatory obligations, and supporting the design and operation of relevant controls.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on compliance obligations for credit products and the associated controls across EEA operations.
- Develop, evaluate, and implement policies from the ground up.
- Assess compliance approvals for new or updated credit product initiatives and provide clear feedback.
- Own and coordinate the training programme.
- Review and sign off on marketing communications.
- Examine customer complaints to support better outcomes.
- Track compliance performance and monitor regulatory developments across relevant regions.
- Work alongside Risk Managers to address compliance issues and incidents that are reported.
- Spot regulatory risks early and suggest practical corrective actions.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including Legal, Risk, BSA/AML, regulators, advisers, and partners.
What you need
- At least 4 years of experience in regulatory compliance, gained in a consultancy, compliance team, or regulator.
- A university degree in STEM, business, or finance.
- Practical understanding of regulatory gap analysis.
- Hands-on experience with policy drafting and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of credit products and the FOS business model.
- Good awareness of how compliance risk and business risk interact.
- Ability to stay effective under pressure, handle several priorities at once, and meet demanding deadlines.
- Comfort communicating constructively with internal teams and regulators.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Fluent English.
