Role Overview
The Regulatory Affairs Analyst role, located onsite in the North San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, involves ensuring compliance with cosmetic regulations domestically and internationally specifically for color cosmetics and skin care. Responsibilities include interpreting regulatory guidelines, maintaining documentation, supporting product registration, and monitoring regulatory changes. Collaboration with departments such as R&D, quality, sales, and clients forms a core part of the role to manage regulatory risks and compliance challenges.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage regulatory activities to support current and new cosmetic products under OTC Monographs and cosmetic regulations.
- Develop and implement regulatory strategies aligned with business and client requirements.
- Function as a regulatory expert to advise and educate internal teams and external clients.
- Maintain up-to-date regulatory filings and communications with health authorities.
- Monitor and communicate regulatory changes and trends affecting cosmetics globally.
- Participate in internal audits and contribute to regulatory process improvements.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is passionate about beauty, especially color cosmetics and skin care, detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in regulatory affairs within the beauty sector. Strong communication skills, leadership qualities, resilience, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. Proficiency with Excel and tracking project timelines is required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of five years' experience in regulatory affairs focused on beauty products, especially color cosmetics, skin care, or personal care.
- Experience with labeling, registrations, formulation, and ingredient compliance for cosmetic brands.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting with high attention to detail.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Compensation and Benefits
