Job description
Role Overview
This position sits within the Respiratory Care department and is scheduled for a daytime shift with 12-hour day shifts. The role is focused on delivering respiratory care services that meet or surpass patient and customer expectations.
Core Purpose
The respiratory therapist will evaluate, treat, and/or perform testing for patients with cardiopulmonary impairment according to physician instructions and/or established protocols. The role also requires careful documentation of the patient’s response to treatment and using clinical expertise to help improve care quality and patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Licensure
Candidates should be graduates of an accredited Respiratory Care Program, with an Associate of Science degree preferred. Required credentials include Registered Respiratory Therapist status, an Arkansas Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP) license, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are preferred.
Schedule and Workload
This role is authorized for 72.00 hours every two weeks. The assigned shift is day shift with 12-hour working days.
