Job description
Company overview
InstantScripts is an Australian online healthcare provider focused on making medical care easier to access, more flexible, and backed by strong clinical standards. The organisation supports doctors who want to help shape the future of telehealth while working within a professional community that values patient care, efficiency, and quality.
Role summary
This opportunity is for experienced doctors and general practitioners interested in providing patient-centred telehealth consultations across Australia. The role is offered as an independent contractor arrangement using an ABN, giving you the flexibility to shape your schedule while delivering care from home. InstantScripts positions itself as a leader in telehealth and emphasises high-quality medical practice rather than checklist-based consultations.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct patient-focused online consultations for people located across Australia.
- Provide medical care that aligns with strong clinical governance and patient safety standards.
- Use the platform’s tools to support documentation, prescribing, and consultation workflow.
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative doctor network.
- Maintain professional standards that protect both patient wellbeing and your own registration.
What the role offers
- Flexible scheduling, with the ability to choose your own hours and work from anywhere in Australia.
- A clinical environment supported by rigorous governance and backed by Wesfarmers Health and Wesfarmers Boards.
- Access to My Health Records, AI-enabled note-taking tools, and a clinical knowledge bank designed to reduce administrative burden.
- Connection to a supportive community of doctors, including quick access to clinical support and a Doctor Assistance Program.
- A secure prescribing platform featuring two-factor authentication and ISMS 27001 accreditation.
Requirements
- Authorisation to work in Australia, with no sponsorship available.
- Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions or limitations.
- Background in General Medicine and/or General Practice.
- At least PGY4 level experience.
- Availability for a minimum of 7 to 10 rostered hours each week.
- Australian residency, as overseas remote work is not permitted.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Comfort using technology in a fast-moving environment.
Additional information
InstantScripts is wholly owned by Wesfarmers. The company encourages applications from doctors who are committed to uncompromised patient care, interested in digital medical services, and keen to join a forward-thinking healthcare network that is working to improve how care is delivered in Australia.
