Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage administrative operations of the correctional facility, including fiscal oversight and daily staff management.
- Supervise facility employees with authority over hiring, performance evaluations, scheduling, training, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Establish staff salary scales, develop procedures, and delegate tasks to enhance operational efficiency.
- Review, interpret, and implement policies to comply with contractual and regulatory standards while resolving administrative and financial concerns.
- Contribute to organizational design and recruiting of professionals and contractors as needed.
- Prepare and administer the facility's annual budget and conduct cost and productivity assessments periodically.
- Represent the facility at internal and external meetings and committees as required.
- Monitor external contracts to ensure they comply with clinical service requirements and appropriate reimbursement levels.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or Public Administration is required.
- Extensive background in healthcare administration, preferably in correctional or similar environments.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
- Minimum of three years experience in healthcare administrative roles.
- Strong interpersonal abilities including negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Proficiency in data analytics for generating, interpreting, and analyzing healthcare data.
- Exceptional time management and organizational capabilities with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Experience leading healthcare professional teams.
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance, including background checks and drug screening.
