About the Role
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for formulating and executing the sales strategy and regional plan to expand Agrifac Machinery B.V.'s market presence. This role focuses on fostering growth through existing and new market opportunities by building strategic dealer partnerships and achieving commercial objectives. The manager serves as an advisor on regional developments to senior management, maintains strong relationships with customers and internal teams, leads a regional sales team of up to six members, and reports directly to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and apply the regional and country sales strategies consistent with the overall corporate sales vision.
- Manage business processes regionally, ensuring coordination with other functional areas.
- Oversee sales budgets including trade shows and seminar participation.
- Engage in projects focused on innovating sales processes.
- Monitor market trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Select, evaluate, and cultivate dealer relationships while ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Create and execute dealer-specific plans with measurable KPIs.
- Maintain and nurture lasting connections with dealers, key accounts, and customers; address market dynamics proactively.
- Act as the primary contact for internal dealer-related matters coordinating cross-departmentally.
- Assess dealer performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Report dealer outcomes and commercial achievements to the Managing Director.
- Translate high-level strategic goals into operational plans including resource prioritization, investment planning, and cost analyses.
- Meet commercial targets, amplify market share, secure critical orders, and support negotiations and contract management within guidelines.
- Prepare, analyze, and deliver sales reports ensuring accurate documentation of commercial activities and progress.
- Provide leadership for the regional sales team, developing structures, processes, and staffing to meet objectives effectively.
- Monitor and manage team workload and performance, facilitating coaching and growth opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvements in processes and services by leading cross-functional initiatives and encouraging team contributions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agribusiness, agronomy, agricultural economics, or similar disciplines.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in agricultural sales.
- Preferred experience working with producers, dealers, cooperatives, or agri-retailers.
- Industry certifications or agronomic training are advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of crop production and agricultural machinery.
