Job description
Position Overview
The Regional Sales Manager will lead and manage channel partner relationships to drive significant growth in order volumes and profitability for AMETEK Process Instruments. This role involves accountability for key sales opportunities and collaboration to position AMETEK as the preferred analyzer provider.
Key Duties
- Oversee and advance all sales activities to meet or surpass regional sales targets and order volumes using CRM systems including Salesforce.
- Lead and evaluate regional distributor networks, ensuring performance aligns with established quotas and budgets.
- Work closely with the service teams to build strong customer relationships, enhance repeat business, and improve overall customer satisfaction levels.
- Support and facilitate product and application training sessions for representatives, distributors, and customers.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Sales Manager to support the broader business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or an equivalent field coupled with relevant experience.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in sales related to instrumentation within industrial markets.
- At least three years’ experience focused on Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) markets; a strong background in analytical instrumentation is highly valued.
- Proven history of successfully managing channel partner ecosystems and developing strategic regional growth plans.
- Capability and willingness to undertake extensive travel across the assigned region.
- Experience with leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity, improve decision-making, raise work quality, and reduce costs. The candidate must be proficient in identifying relevant AI applications and critically assessing AI-driven results.
