Overview
We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager specializing in Indirect & Wholesale Dealership Support within the United States. This pivotal role will focus on establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships with dealers, spearheading growth initiatives within an expanding indirect sales organization, and providing strong leadership to a regional sales team. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison among dealership partners, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and high-quality customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary strategic contact for an acquired dealer floorplan portfolio, driving initiatives to expand these relationships.
- Lead outreach efforts and discussions to promote the full suite of indirect products.
- Collaborate with local sales teams to coordinate effective dealer engagement strategies and extend market coverage.
- Bridge communications between commercial floorplan teams and indirect sales units to maintain alignment and consistency.
- Educate and inform dealership partners about additional relationship-building opportunities and identify chances for cross-selling.
- Collect market insights and recommend enhancements to programs, pricing, and internal processes.
- Directly supervise 3-5 sales representatives assigned to key regions with ongoing coaching and performance management.
- Inspire and support other regional sales personnel to ensure unified messaging and dealer interaction.
- Track sales metrics, market penetration, and business development progress to meet targets.
- Collaborate with internal departments on recruitment, staff development, and retention strategies.
- Manage and oversee regional sales budgets and expenditures responsibly.
- Stay adaptable to evolving business priorities and partake in supplementary projects as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- At least two years of experience managing sales teams.
- A minimum of three years of expertise in indirect lending, dealership development, automotive finance, or related industries.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Demonstrated success in coaching teams, enhancing performance, and implementing regional sales plans.
- Proven experience managing dealer relations and uncovering growth opportunities.
- Strong collaboration skills to work cross-functionally within the organization.
- Excellent organizational capabilities to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business productivity software.
- Ability to work both independently and in alignment with broader organizational goals.
