Position Overview
We are seeking a commercially adept and experienced Regional Sales Manager to oversee the DACH region, comprising Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This critical position, reporting to the EMEA Sales Director, is integral to driving revenue growth through both direct sales initiatives and partnerships within our Cellular/Mobile Solutions Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire sales process within the DACH territory, spanning from generating leads and building pipelines to closing deals and post-sale client development.
- Accelerate revenue by promoting Digi’s suite of industrial cellular routers, infrastructure solutions, cloud-based software, and managed connectivity services.
- Oversee and enhance relationships with distributors and resellers, while scouting and integrating new strategic channel partners.
- Devise account and territory plans to expand existing customer bases and secure new enterprise and industrial clientele.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide precise forecasting through CRM tools such as NetSuite.
- Identify recurring revenue opportunities particularly in software and managed services platforms including Digi Remote Manager and Digi 360.
- Represent Digi at client engagements, industry gatherings, trade shows, webinars, and partner meetings within the region.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Product Management, Customer Success, and Operations to deliver exemplary customer experiences.
- Regularly update senior EMEA sales leadership with pipeline status, forecasts, and market insights.
- Leverage AI-powered sales technologies and CRM analytics to refine account strategies and prioritize opportunities efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of field sales expertise in networking, IoT, telecommunications, or industrial technology sectors.
- Proven success in accomplishing or surpassing sales objectives within a territory-focused role.
- Experience managing both direct enterprise sales and channel partner networks.
- Strong commercial insight with skills in developing business cases and managing complex procurement negotiations.
- Proficiency using AI-based sales tools and CRM/ERP systems like NetSuite or similar platforms.
- Willingness to travel frequently (approximately 40–50%) across DACH countries and Turkey.
- Fluent communication skills in both German and English, spoken and written.
Preferred Attributes
- Familiarity with cellular and 5G networking technologies, SD-WAN, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), and edge computing solutions.
- Prior knowledge of Digi International products such as IX25, EX50, IX40, Digi Remote Manager, and Digi 360.
- Experience in selling subscription-based or managed services generating recurring revenue.
- Established connections within German industrial manufacturing, utilities, transportation, or public sector markets.
- Additional proficiency in Turkish language is an advantage.
