Our Human Rights & Social Impact program fosters customer trust and business resilience by integrating respect for human rights and environmental responsibility throughout Amazon’s supply chain. We uphold company-wide standards including Global Human Rights Principles and Supply Chain Standards, and continuously enhance tools and processes for human rights and environmental compliance.
The Global Remediation and Investigation Team seeks a Regional Remediation Lead to ensure compliance and resolution effectiveness across the Asia-Pacific Japan China (APJC) region. This leader will manage a team investigating and addressing complex social and human rights compliance issues within Amazon’s supply chain and operations, directly advancing the company’s commitment to human rights and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a regional team of Human Rights Compliance Managers, providing case management direction, performance guidance, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Oversee comprehensive human rights and social compliance case investigations in the region, assuring prompt and quality outcomes.
- Act as the regional expert on human rights due diligence frameworks such as the Global Human Rights Principles and Supply Chain Standards.
- Collaborate closely with global leadership and cross-disciplinary teams to align regional efforts with company-wide compliance objectives.
- Develop and sustain reporting tools to monitor case trends, remediation success, and team performance metrics within the region.
- Detect systemic social risks, escalating significant issues to senior leaders with actionable mitigation proposals.
- Champion ongoing improvements to operational models, technology, and processes to enhance efficiency and impact.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Marketing, Social Sciences, Law, or related humanities field.
- At least five years of experience in compliance, auditing, or risk management.
- Minimum three years of experience managing and developing teams.
- Proven ability to lead complex, large-scale cross-functional projects.
- Experience delivering findings to senior leadership or drafting accounting conclusions.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Background working in global organizations with responsibilities across multiple countries.
- Experience designing and deploying large operational programs.
- Strong data analytics skills to drive evidence-based business decisions.
- Advanced degrees such as MBA are advantageous.
- Knowledge of international human rights frameworks (e.g., UN Guiding Principles, ILO standards, OECD Guidelines).
- Experience in grievance mechanisms or worker engagement programs.
- Fluency in Mandarin, Japanese, or Hindi, with capacity to support compliance efforts in these languages.
