Role overview

This position calls for an experienced PR and events professional to lead Geely’s regional communications and activation efforts across the GCC. The role focuses on shaping regional PR strategy, managing media and influencer partnerships, organizing events, and driving sponsorship and co-branding initiatives that build brand visibility, share of voice, and customer engagement across diverse markets in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Direct regional PR, media, influencer, and content creator campaigns across Middle East markets to grow brand awareness and market presence.
  • Create and implement PR communication plans for both the brand and individual products, covering press materials, media announcements, product stories, and corporate messaging.
  • Handle media collaborations, test-drive programs, product review opportunities, interviews, and other press engagement activities to secure strong coverage.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with automotive media, lifestyle publications, influencers, creators, and other important industry contacts across the region.
  • Track regional and market-level share of voice, media outcomes, and competitor activity, then turn findings into action plans that improve visibility.
  • Build monthly PR calendars, media themes, and communication plans in coordination with local markets and media partners.
  • Support backlink development through online media and digital PR partnerships to strengthen SEO performance and organic search visibility for Geely websites.
  • Organize regional events such as new model launches, media conferences, test drives, exhibitions, and major brand activation campaigns.
  • Lead sponsorships, partnerships, and co-branding projects that expand brand reach and increase customer engagement.
  • Plan customer-facing events and engagement programs that deepen loyalty, brand experience, and community connection.
  • Work closely with regional teams, distributors, PR agencies, and media partners to ensure consistent and well-coordinated execution across all activities.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in public relations, events, or brand marketing, ideally in the automotive sector.
  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale regional events such as media conferences, auto shows, product launches, test drives, and brand activations.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, Communications, or a similar discipline.
  • Solid knowledge of GCC market trends, media channels, consumer behavior, and cultural differences across the region.
  • A well-established network and hands-on experience with media professionals, influencers, content creators, agencies, and external partners.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work across functions and cultures.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking, including the ability to assess PR performance, media impact, share of voice, and campaign ROI.
  • Capability to manage several projects at once while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Fluent English is mandatory; Arabic is a significant plus.

Work environment

This is a Dubai office-based position. Some travel for industry events or internal company meetings may be necessary.

Additional information

This is a full-time, on-site role focused on the GCC region.
