Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Regional Product Manager for Medical Devices to lead a growth initiative on behalf of a major global medical devices corporation. This role focuses on building a new business presence in Southeast Asia and Korea, starting with Singapore as the initial market. The successful candidate will manage a lean regional setup, tasked with expanding a surgical portfolio from the ground up within an established international company.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market assessments and shape portfolio strategies for Southeast Asia in collaboration with the global sourcing division.
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies incrementally across markets, commencing with Singapore.
- Act as a bridge connecting global product development teams with local commercial execution efforts.
- Acquire in-depth understanding of surgical environments, workflows, and clinical necessities, aiming to challenge established competitors effectively.
- Provide training, support, and enablement to field sales personnel and distributor networks as the product range expands.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in product management, marketing, or commercial roles within the medical devices industry.
- Direct, practical familiarity with operating rooms and peri-operative procedures, with a strong preference for backgrounds in surgical consumables.
- Proven experience in founding or significantly growing markets, portfolios, or organizational functions with minimal existing infrastructure.
- Excellent skills in managing stakeholders and distributors within diverse and matrixed cultural settings.
- Preparedness for frequent regional travel.
Additional Information
This is a unique opportunity to manage a build-out role rather than a maintenance position, blending strategic planning with active operational involvement, including liaison with medical professionals.
Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted. All applications are confidential and will be handled for recruitment purposes exclusively.
