Job description

Overview

This leadership role will oversee physical security operations, risk governance, crisis management, and strategic security initiatives across the regions of Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and India. Serving as the sub-regional head, the position is accountable for enhancing operational excellence, building regional resilience, and ensuring uniform implementation of corporate security standards across multiple office locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and govern physical security strategies and operations across Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and India.
  • Serve as the main escalation contact for major security incidents, coordinate crisis management, and lead regional emergency response efforts.
  • Standardize security protocols, policies, and operating procedures uniformly across all regional sites.
  • Oversee guarding vendors, manage security budgets, track KPIs, and evaluate operational performance across countries.
  • Collaborate with business leadership, Workplace teams, Legal, HR, and global security departments to address risk mitigation and regional security priorities.
  • Lead complex regional initiatives such as new office security layout design, event security coordination, and business continuity planning.
  • Conduct risk assessments at a regional level and offer strategic guidance on geopolitical, operational, and workplace security threats.
  • Manage and mentor country-level security personnel and vendors to ensure scalable, efficient regional operations.
  • Contribute to regional crisis management frameworks and participate in multi-disciplinary incident command and emergency response leadership.
  • Support workplace investigations when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of corporate security experience (either contractor or full-time), including 2+ years in a security management role with escalating responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-site and multi-country security operations, with efficient cross-regional coordination.
  • Hands-on expertise in new office security setup such as risk evaluations, access control system design, CCTV installation, and other technical controls.
  • Proficient in operating physical security systems including access control, video management, life safety systems, and visitor management platforms.
  • Strong documentation skills capable of creating and maintaining site-specific checklists, post orders, and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience in leading incident and crisis responses, managing complex security incidents, emergencies, and business disruptions from start to finish.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, adaptable to fast-paced environments with flexible availability, including travel on short notice and out-of-hours coverage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as CPP, PSP, PCI, CSMP, CBCP, or equivalents are advantageous.
  • A background in law enforcement, military, intelligence, or corporate security is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in technology firms or multinational corporate settings.
  • Previous security operations management experience in at least two of these markets: Hong Kong, Japan, Korea.
  • In-depth experience managing guarding programs, including leading or heavily contributing to guarding RFPs, and expertise in security personnel recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Proven people management experience with direct supervisory or leadership roles.
  • Responsible for Threat Management Programs addressing identification, assessment, and management of emerging threats to personnel and facilities.
  • Experience supporting high-profile event security including venue risk assessments and live event security operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of physical security programs such as Travel Security, Global Security Operations Centres, Business Continuity, and Investigations.
  • Financial literacy and commercial awareness including budgeting and fiscal management; a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field is beneficial.
