Role Overview

This opportunity is for a Regional Operations Manager based in the United States, focused on leading operations across multiple manufacturing plants in a fast-growing industrial setting. The position involves overseeing plant performance, championing continuous improvement, and ensuring excellence in safety, quality, productivity, and financial metrics. Collaboration with regional leadership and local managers to develop operational capabilities and future leaders is a crucial element. The role requires a blend of strategic management and hands-on execution with a strong orientation towards leadership, business insight, and driving measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage several manufacturing facilities, ensuring consistent standards in safety, quality, productivity, facility upkeep, and maintenance.
  • Implement operational excellence strategies to enhance efficiency, cut costs, and leverage plant capabilities.
  • Ensure all assigned sites comply with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
  • Build and nurture leadership teams by offering coaching, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Translate business objectives into tangible operational goals and monitor team accountability for results.
  • Direct production planning to balance customer demands, service levels, and cost controls.
  • Lead cross-divisional initiatives concerning customer solutions, capital projects, and operational upgrades.
  • Research and apply best manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Supervise plant financial outcomes including productivity, cost management, and profitability targets.
  • Collaborate closely with both regional and corporate leaders to align operational goals and business priorities.
  • Oversee accurate reporting of production, inventory, and performance metrics.
  • Promote a culture emphasizing accountability, workplace safety, teamwork, and ongoing learning at all managed plants.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Finance, Operations, or a related technical discipline, or comparable experience.
  • At least 7 years' leadership experience in operations or manufacturing management roles.
  • Proven track record managing multiple manufacturing sites or extensive operational environments.
  • Strong financial and business management skills, including successful P&L oversight.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and operational excellence tools.
  • Detailed understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance in manufacturing contexts.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and talent development abilities.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Adept at working in fast-moving, dynamic business conditions.
  • Collaborative approach with experience in cross-functional teamwork.
  • Capability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%).
  • Preferred residency near Buffalo, NY or Fredonia, PA for on-site proximity.
