Role summary
This opportunity is with a major resort and entertainment destination that includes theme parks, water parks, resort hotels, golf courses, spas, a sports complex, shopping and dining, and a wedding pavilion. The position calls for an experienced hospitality leader to oversee resort operations at a portfolio level.
The Regional General Manager, Resort Operations reports to the Vice President of Resort Operations and carries direct accountability for 6 to 8 hotel properties. The role leads a group of executive-level leaders and is expected to strengthen guest service, Cast Member engagement, service quality, and overall business performance.
What the role is responsible for
- Set the direction for executive leaders and the teams they manage, both strategically and operationally.
- Own performance outcomes across profit and loss, expense control, Cast Member satisfaction, and guest satisfaction.
- Guide General Managers so each hotel runs successfully, with clear short-term and long-term goals aligned to property metrics.
- Stay ahead of changing guest expectations and turn those needs into memorable guest experiences.
- Visit properties on a regular basis to verify that brand expectations and operational standards are being met.
- Build teams that improve resort performance and support stronger business results.
- Strengthen the resort experience through closer integration and partnership support that enhances service delivery.
- Work with the resorts line of business team, including participation in pilots and future-focused initiatives.
- Support change initiatives with a positive mindset and help leaders and teams navigate transitions effectively.
- Show commitment, transparency, enthusiasm, and care for team needs so Cast Members remain empowered and engaged.
Experience and qualifications
- 7 to 10+ years of proven executive-level operational leadership, with responsibility for leading other senior leaders.
- Strong business judgment with a demonstrated ability to meet key performance indicators, control operating costs, and improve profitability.
- History of leading change, innovation, and service excellence while advancing a broader strategic vision.
- Background in delivering operational excellence and financial results, with a proactive approach to diverse global guest needs.
- Experience contributing to transformational work or service brand transformation in hospitality.
- Ability to motivate others, build enthusiasm, and foster teamwork.
- Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, including encouraging varied viewpoints and supporting an inclusive workplace.
- Experience benchmarking internally and externally to identify and apply best practices.
- Bilingual or multilingual experience is preferred.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related discipline is required. An MBA or another master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Compensation and benefits
The hiring range for Florida is $214,600 to $287,700 per year. Actual base pay may differ based on internal equity, geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may also be included, along with medical, financial, and other benefits depending on the level and position offered.
