Role Overview
The Regional Financial Controller for Northern Africa plays a key role in leading and nurturing a team of dedicated hospitality professionals by applying detailed financial expertise. This strategic position demands advanced financial knowledge, strong leadership skills, and a results-driven approach to drive excellence across the regional Finance teams and contribute to the organization's financial objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Area Leadership Team to strategize and enhance regional profitability and growth.
- Offer operational and financial guidance to regional representatives and hotels to support sound decision-making.
- Coordinate and oversee regional financial reporting, including thorough analysis of profitability, report quality, capital investments, and performance comparisons against budgets and prior periods.
- Deliver independent assurance and consultative services that identify value-adding opportunities aligned with area strategies and corporate goals.
- Provide mentorship and support to Hotel Financial Controllers within the region, fostering their development.
- Contribute to strategic plans by advising Asset Development and Financial Control (ADFC) teams involved in business expansion and asset management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional Accounting Qualification and/or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience as a Hotel Financial Controller or comparable role overseeing multiple business units.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively at the ownership level.
- Fluency in both French and English.
