Overview
This role represents a strategic leadership opportunity for a Regional Director of Sales focusing on wholesale strategic accounts across the Western United States. Operating remotely, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth and deepen partnerships with distributors, wholesalers, systems integrators, and industry leaders. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to boost market share, enhance customer interaction, and promote product adoption within a dynamic, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement regional sales plans aimed at increasing revenue, expanding market penetration, and elevating brand presence among wholesale strategic clients.
- Establish and nurture robust relationships with key channel partners such as distributors, industrial wholesalers, security experts, and systems integrators.
- Develop account management strategies centered on growth, engagement, training, sales initiatives, and investment in market development.
- Lead, mentor, and support regional business development staff while influencing multidisciplinary teams without direct supervision.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, training, and business development units to coordinate customer-focused programs, campaigns, and educational events.
- Deliver persuasive presentations and articulate the advantages of integrated security and access control solutions to customers and key stakeholders.
- Identify market opportunities, promote solution upgrades, and facilitate customer retention through consultative sales methods.
- Maintain up-to-date CRM data, monitor sales outcomes, and travel extensively across the region to foster client relations and business growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related fields; master's degree preferred.
- At least 10 years of relevant sales experience in sectors such as door hardware, security, electronic access control, construction, building materials, or facilities management.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership or management experience guiding teams or sales programs.
- Proven track record in designing and executing complex sales strategies and managing key account relationships effectively.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the capacity to influence and collaborate across teams without direct authority.
- Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Sound business judgment, consultative selling competence, and proven ability to close sophisticated commercial deals.
- Adept at managing multiple priorities and performing under pressure in fast-paced settings.
- Knowledge of vertical markets including Education, Healthcare, Government, Commercial Buildings, Fortune 500 enterprises, and Multi-Family housing is advantageous.
- Experienced with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools for sales process management and reporting.
- Active engagement in industry organizations such as ASIS, DHI, SHDA, ALOA, or similar is a plus.
- Residency in the Western US required; preference for candidates near Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Seattle.
- Willingness to undertake frequent travel across the United States, up to approximately 60%.
