Role Overview
The Regional Director of Operations will directly report to the Regional Vice President, managing multiple branch locations across the assigned region. This role is pivotal in enhancing operational efficiency, customer loyalty, financial health, leadership accountability, and expanding regional business. Key Operational Responsibilities
- Consistently focus on retaining clients by identifying risks, addressing service issues, and developing strategies to strengthen customer relationships.
- Coordinate and ensure accurate and timely implementation of client rate increases with operational and financial teams.
- Monitor and evaluate branch financial metrics including revenue, gross profit, labor performance, and budget variances, and initiate corrective measures as necessary.
- Audit payroll and invoice adjustments to spot recurring issues and introduce corrective strategies to enhance accuracy.
- Manage audits of vehicle inventory and associated billing to verify accuracy, optimize utilization, and ensure proper client billing.
- Assess labor metrics such as overtime and unfilled shifts, devising solutions to lower unnecessary costs and optimize scheduling.
- Analyze employee turnover patterns and implement measures to improve retention and decrease turnover rates.
- Review usage of equipment, uniforms, technology, and supplies region-wide to cut down on wasteful expenses while meeting client needs.
- Oversee staffing, training, equipment provisioning, and operational needs for new accounts, expansions, and client transitions to guarantee smooth implementations.
- Provide regular performance updates on branch leaders assessing their progress, gaps, and developmental needs.
Sales and Growth Duties
- Set and monitor regional growth goals with periodic reporting on achievements, risks, and forecasts to the Regional Vice President.
- Track and manage the sales pipeline, ensuring branch leaders follow up on leads and proposals actively.
- Submit weekly sales leads reports, audit lead generation activities, and develop improvement plans where necessary.
- Identify and pursue potential new business opportunities and target markets aligned with growth strategies.
- Explore possibilities to expand service offerings, operating hours, and solutions with existing clients.
- Review and analyze lost deals and failed proposals to refine future sales tactics.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline.
- Three to five years of experience in Branch or Regional Management roles or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications are considered advantageous.
Physical Demands
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
- Capability to lift items up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Compensation Package
- Annual salary ranging from $105,000 to $115,000.
- Participation in a sales commission plan.
