Role Overview
The Regional Director of Operations for the Northeast region will oversee several locations, primarily near New York, ensuring that all sites function efficiently in line with company values and contractual obligations. This role emphasizes cultivating and sustaining strong business relationships, optimizing customer satisfaction, and continually seeking operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team that exceeds client expectations and upholds company standards.
- Provide effective leadership and mentorship, fostering talent advancement throughout operations.
- Plan and manage employee scheduling to fulfill client service requirements, addressing call-offs and time-off requests.
- Formulate and execute tactical and strategic plans for talent pipeline development.
- Achieve profit and growth targets, ensuring consistent operational performance with a focus on safety, service quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Maintain optimal staffing and organizational structure across locations for superior performance and customer service.
- Respond professionally and promptly to communications; manage time effectively.
- Oversee profit and loss, driving revenue growth; collaborate with Operations and Finance teams to improve financial results annually.
- Promote a strong safety culture among employees, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Conduct safety reporting, incident investigations, and hazard reporting promptly.
- Develop balanced fleet and asset management strategies enhancing utilization, safety, service, and driver success.
- Ensure vehicle maintenance schedules and records are up to date; conduct regular audits of fleet vehicles.
- Perform other duties as assigned by executive leadership.
Candidate Qualifications
- Between 5 to 10 years of managerial experience with direct profit & loss responsibility.
- Strong skills in prioritizing, implementing, and managing work schedules, projects, and building effective relationships.
- Experience managing customer relationships.
- Familiarity with routing optimization, Transportation Management Systems, and driver safety management tools to boost operational efficiency and maintain compliance.
- Proven expertise in overseeing multiple site operations.
- Solid financial acumen coupled with problem-solving and process improvement competencies.
- Willingness to travel as needed and work the designated schedule at the required location.
- Background in transportation or logistics is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The role offers an annual salary ranging from $125,000 to $175,000. SkyHop Global provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and supplemental benefits.
Location & Work Environment
This position requires the candidate to live within a reasonable commuting distance of Glendale, New York, and work on-site in New York City.
