Role Summary

The Regional Director of Operations will oversee the full operational performance of distribution centers across an assigned region. The role covers people leadership, process discipline, policy adherence, safety, regulatory compliance, staffing, quality, strategic planning, and continuous improvement. The position also supports DC managers with annual expense budgeting and manpower planning. All employees are expected to follow the S&S Activewear Employee Handbook.

Compensation and Schedule

This is a salaried role paying $175,000 to $220,000 per year, depending on experience, plus bonus eligibility.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays based on business needs. The position is full-time, exempt, remote, and requires frequent travel to distribution sites, approximately 50%.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee the daily performance of managers and teams while identifying opportunities to improve operations.
  • Lead change efforts by standardizing KPIs, training methods, leadership practices, and productivity reviews.
  • Serve as a communication bridge between senior leadership, warehouse teams, and other internal functions.
  • Design structure for programs and workflows, including budgeting, scheduling, reporting, and team coordination.
  • Reduce overhead through cost-saving actions, inventory control, and streamlined warehouse and administrative processes.
  • Direct shipping, receiving, cycle counting, and warehouse maintenance activities.
  • Ensure warehouse operations align with company policies and business direction.
  • Oversee OSHA compliance and broader safety requirements.
  • Own the warehouse division budget and P&L accountability.
  • Support DC managers in building strong employee relations and retaining qualified hourly and salaried staff.
  • Help create a workplace that encourages inclusion, recognition, and clear communication.
  • Develop operating plans to support growth, improve quality, and lower operating costs.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics to set goals, maintain standards, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify operational issues and partner with DC managers to implement practical solutions.
  • Encourage open communication across departments, functions, and internal or external stakeholders.
  • Review, assess, and negotiate operating expenses to improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency.
  • Coordinate with other departments to improve efficiency and strengthen teamwork.

Requirements

  • Spanish fluency is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is required.
  • At least 10 years of warehouse experience are needed.
  • At least 7 years of leadership and team management experience are required.
  • Strong working knowledge of WMS and ERP systems is expected.
  • The candidate should be highly organized and very detail-oriented.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methods and tools is needed to improve fulfillment, quality, efficiency, and safety.
  • The role calls for a hands-on leader who can collaborate and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong team-building and coaching ability is required.
  • Sound judgment, accountability, and a bias toward action are important.
  • The candidate must be able to work with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • A successful history of leadership in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements is mandatory.
