Role Overview
This role invites an experienced commercial leader to steer business development and sales growth initiatives within the European market remotely from Ireland. As Regional Commercial Director for Europe, you will focus on cultivating high-value client connections and expanding enterprise opportunities, particularly in the fintech and payments sector. The position requires strategic engagement with senior decision-makers to provide customized payment product solutions that support international expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement strategies to acquire and cultivate enterprise clients across European markets.
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline aligned with growth objectives.
- Lead consultative sales by analyzing customer operations, payment needs, and expansion strategies to deliver effective commercial solutions.
- Handle the entire sales process for complex enterprise deals, including prospecting, negotiation, and closure.
- Establish and nurture trusted advisory relationships with senior stakeholders regarding payment solutions and operational improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Product, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to develop scalable commercial offerings.
- Stay informed on market developments, competitor actions, and customer demands to identify new opportunities and enhance positioning.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking forums, and strategic meetings to elevate brand exposure and business development.
- Cultivate lasting partnerships with key clients and ecosystem collaborators to ensure sustainable growth.
Candidate Requirements
- At least six years of relevant experience in business development, enterprise sales, or leadership roles.
- Minimum two years working specifically in fintech, payment services, or online payments.
- Proven track record selling payment solutions like card acquiring, alternative payment options, and related financial products.
- Deep knowledge of payment ecosystems, merchant acquiring, payment operations, and enterprise client needs.
- Demonstrated skill generating leads, managing pipelines, and closing complex B2B sales.
- Experienced in cultivating senior-level relationships within enterprise organizations.
- Excellent skills in negotiation, communication, and relationship management.
- Driven by results with a proven history of meeting and surpassing commercial objectives.
- Strong professional network in payments or fintech is highly advantageous.
- Experience in payment service providers or fast-growing commercial environments is a plus.
- Fluent English required; proficiency in French or German is considered a valuable additional skill.
