Position Overview
The Regional Business Head is entrusted with executing business strategies at the ground level and steering growth in the Rural Micro Enterprises segment within designated territories including Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, and Karnataka. This leadership role focuses on managing operations across branches and sub-BC outlets, enhancing productivity, enabling effective delivery of product offerings such as Unsecured Loans, MSME Loans, and Micro LAP, while safeguarding portfolio health.
Primary Responsibilities
- Steer achievement of regional goals encompassing disbursement volumes, revenue, and portfolio expansion.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to broaden outreach in markets with limited penetration.
- Oversee implementation of business plans in branches ensuring adherence and effectiveness.
- Administer branch networks and sub-BC distribution channels throughout the region.
- Fortify sourcing channels and boost conversion efficiencies.
- Allocate resources judiciously to elevate productivity levels.
- Lead Area Managers and Branch Managers, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Coach teams to drive productivity gains and achieve targets.
- Monitor portfolio quality indicators including PAR and delinquency rates to maintain asset quality.
- Manage collection processes to enhance recovery and meet targets.
- Implement proactive credit risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure strict compliance with operational processes, policies, and SOPs.
- Enhance turnaround times and service excellence across branches.
- Roll out zonal and central strategies at the regional level, including campaigns, products, and process initiatives.
- Collect and relay field feedback to support continuous strategy refinement.
- Monitor key performance metrics daily and monthly through MIS systems.
- Conduct routine performance evaluations and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
- Adhere to regulatory and internal compliance standards and support audit processes ensuring closure of issues.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in financial services or rural lending sectors.
- Postgraduate degree in Management (MBA/PGDM), Finance, Rural Management, or Social Work.
- Demonstrated success in loan origination, collections, and managing teams.
- Proven leadership in handling substantial field teams and supervisors.
