Overview
The Recruitment Specialist at Batterjee Medical College plays a vital role in securing exemplary talent to advance the institution's goals in education, research, and healthcare services. This role involves partnering closely with faculty and administrative teams to identify staffing needs and implement effective recruitment strategies, ensuring an efficient and positive hiring experience.
Key Duties
- Identify and attract candidates through diverse platforms, including online job portals, social media channels, and professional networks.
- Perform initial candidate screenings and conduct interviews to assess qualifications.
- Engage in technical interview sessions and provide actionable feedback to hiring managers.
- Ensure a positive experience for candidates during all stages of recruitment.
- Maintain clear communication with applicants about their status and subsequent steps.
- Organize and coordinate interviews between applicants and college faculty or administrative personnel.
- Represent the institution at job fairs, open house events, and other recruitment activities to highlight opportunities at BMC.
- Establish and nurture connections with local universities and healthcare bodies to cultivate talent pipelines.
- Use Zoho recruitment software to manage candidate data and monitor key recruitment metrics.
- Compile periodic reports on recruitment initiatives and results to evaluate efficiency and impact.
- Adhere strictly to all applicable recruitment policies and regulatory requirements.
- Remain informed on the latest recruitment trends and best practices within academic and healthcare recruitment spheres.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure recruitment techniques align with organizational objectives.
- Provide training and guidance to hiring managers on best practices in interviewing and recruitment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
- Four to five years of professional experience in recruitment, ideally within higher education or healthcare sectors.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare education environment.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Competency in applicant tracking systems and recruitment platforms.
- Ability to efficiently balance multiple tasks in a dynamic setting.
