Role Overview
Join UCM Education as a Recruitment Candidate Consultant, based remotely in Kenya, supporting UK education recruitment desks. This is a vibrant, fast-paced full-time position requiring over one year of recruitment experience. The role involves managing candidate interaction, screening, engagement, and progression to support UK school placements.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and source suitable candidates using established databases, job boards, and recruitment channels.
- Analyze CVs to evaluate candidate experience, strengths, gaps, and concerns.
- Conduct screening calls with candidates to assess their suitability, communication skills, and availability.
- Maintain active communication through calls, emails, and messages to keep candidate pipelines moving.
- Update applicant tracking systems and CRM tools accurately and regularly.
- Coordinate with consultants to book candidates for the next recruitment stages and support placement goals.
- Maintain organized, timely, and professional communication with the wider team.
- Take ownership of recruitment activities by moving swiftly and staying organized.
Candidate Profile
- Self-motivated, driven, and eager to grow a recruitment career within UK education recruitment.
- Confident communicator comfortable with frequent candidate engagement and conducting screening interviews.
- Capable of working independently in a remote work setup while being responsive and accountable.
- Coachability and resilience to adapt and learn market specifics.

Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience in recruitment involving direct candidate interaction.
- Proficient in screening calls, candidate sourcing, CV assessment, and CRM/ATS management.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and consistency in follow-through.
- Professional spoken and written English communication skills.
Preferred Backgrounds
- Experience in agency, education, healthcare recruitment, talent acquisition or recruitment resourcing.
- Human Resources roles involving candidate screening.
Compensation and Benefits
- Starting base salary ranging from KES 70,000 to 85,000 per month, plus commission and bonuses.
