Job description

Role overview

Amazon is seeking a Recruiting Business Partner to help identify and attract outstanding talent in support of the company’s growth. The position is centered on building strong candidate pipelines, partnering closely with hiring leaders, and driving searches to completion within demanding timelines. The role also involves shaping attraction strategies and using data, benchmarks, and metrics to improve hiring outcomes.

In this position, you will collaborate with Sourcers and Recruiting Coordinators as part of a broader recruiting team. Your focus will include candidate search and placement, process enhancement, strategy creation, and serving as the primary recruiting contact for assigned business groups. The role requires a service-first mindset and the ability to contribute to a collaborative, high-performance environment that delivers reliable support to internal stakeholders and meets service-level expectations.

Success in this role depends on the ability to manage multiple searches at once, prioritize effectively, and close roles on deadline. You should be comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment, building trusted relationships with business leaders, hiring managers, and HR partners, and balancing a strong sense of urgency with excellent communication and customer care.

This position may be based in Seattle, Nashville, or Arlington.

Responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen talent sourcing channels to support hiring needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with hiring managers, business leaders, and HR partners.
  • Own recruiting searches from intake through close, keeping timelines and priorities on track.
  • Design and execute talent attraction approaches that improve candidate flow and quality.
  • Use benchmarks, metrics, and service-level expectations to guide recruiting decisions.
  • Work with Sourcers and Recruiting Coordinators to support search execution and candidate placement.
  • Contribute to process improvements and recruiting strategy for assigned business groups.
  • Serve as the recruiting lead for designated client groups and maintain a high standard of customer service.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of progressive recruiting or research experience in a corporate or search firm setting.
  • A bachelor’s degree, or at least 2 years of full-time Amazon experience in place of the degree.
  • Hands-on experience using an applicant tracking system or contact management system to source, track, and manage candidates.
  • Experience handling both high-volume recruiting and niche hiring is preferred.
  • Exposure to or participation in technology hiring events, mixers, meetups, or user groups is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong sense of urgency.

Compensation and benefits

The base pay varies by location. The listed annual salary ranges are USD 50,900 to 89,100 in Nashville, USD 56,600 to 99,100 in Arlington, and USD 80,200 to 99,100 in Seattle.

The overall compensation package may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units. Final pay depends on experience, qualifications, and location.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, Basic Life and AD&D insurance, optional supplemental life plans, employee assistance support, mental health support, a medical advice line, flexible spending accounts, adoption and surrogacy reimbursement, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
