Job description
About the Company
Our partner is an innovative consumer crypto-trading startup based in the United States, dedicated to developing a next-generation platform catered to retail traders. Supported by leading investors, the company is rapidly expanding with a highly skilled, small, and ambitious team. Multiple opportunities are available as the company scales.
The Opportunity
This role represents an inaugural in-house recruitment position, offering ownership of end-to-end talent acquisition and a clear trajectory to become Head of Talent within one to two years. The individual will centralize recruitment activities, collaborate with external partners, source quality candidates, and implement consistent, scalable hiring strategies. This position suits someone passionate about a long-term career specializing in talent acquisition, eager to work at a fast pace alongside founders who make swift hiring decisions. Compensation includes a base salary of $100,000 to $170,000 plus equity, which will grow commensurate with performance and role expansion.
Responsibilities
- Manage recruiting workflows across several open positions and maintain vendor relationships with external recruitment agencies.
- Identify and source top talent pools specific to each role through strategic mapping and outreach.
- Create detailed candidate profiles and evaluation frameworks defining ideal backgrounds and strength indicators.
- Collaborate closely with founders to refine sourcing methods, enhance response speed, and coordinate recruitment efforts efficiently.
- Transition recruitment from subjective intuition to data-driven, repeatable processes to support scaling.
Requirements
- Between 1 and 4 years' experience in recruiting, talent management, or a closely allied discipline; exceptional internship experience coupled with strong motivation will also be considered.
- Familiarity with startup ecosystems, venture capital environments, or quantitative talent sourcing contexts.
- A committed interest in talent acquisition, with ambitions to advance into a Head of Talent position over time.
- Strong organizational skills, agility, and ability to manage complex coordination across multiple tasks.
- Desirable: prior experience in recruitment for early-stage startups or a background linked to venture firms or specialized recruitment organizations.
