The pay can go up to $55 per hour, and the schedule is part-time at 24 to 40 hours weekly during Monday through Friday business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. About the client
The client is a confidential medical plastics manufacturer that produces extruded tubing, injection molded components, catheters, and medical packaging for Class I through Class III devices. The role reports to the VP of HR and supports hiring across multiple site locations.
What you'll do
You will manage end-to-end recruitment for selected technical and professional positions, serving as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and a strong candidate-facing representative. The role calls for someone who can build targeted pipelines, understand regulated medical device hiring needs, and compete effectively in a specialized talent market.
This position is designed for a recruiter who goes well beyond posting jobs and actively creates sourcing strategies, engages passive candidates, and helps strengthen the employer brand in the market.
Key responsibilities
- Run the complete recruiting process, from intake and sourcing through interviews, offer handling, and onboarding support.
- Create focused sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill roles using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, talent mapping, networking, referrals, job boards, events, and industry groups.
- Build productive working relationships with hiring managers and senior leaders so business needs are translated into clear search plans and candidate profiles.
- Approach passive candidates in the medical device space with engaging outreach that helps turn interest into active pipeline growth.
- Provide candidates with a responsive, professional, and positive experience at every stage of the process.
- Use labor-market knowledge, pipeline information, and recruiting metrics to guide sourcing choices and improve speed, quality, and effectiveness of hiring.
- Work with marketing and internal partners to support employer-brand efforts and raise awareness among future candidates.
- Maintain posting activity, applicant tracking, documentation, assessments, reference checks, and recruiting records in the ATS.
Qualifications and experience
- Proven sourcing ability and a track record of finding strong candidates for technical, operations, quality, engineering, commercial, and professional roles.
- Working knowledge of the medical device, medtech, or regulated manufacturing talent market, with the ability to speak confidently with specialized candidates.
- Strong communication skills that support both strategic advising with managers and relationship-building with candidates.
- A proactive, organized, and resilient recruiting style, with the ability to handle multiple searches while keeping stakeholders updated.
- Experience building outreach plans, talent pipelines, and engagement strategies that convert passive prospects into qualified candidates.
- Comfort working with applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, Microsoft Office, and modern sourcing tools.
- Commitment to inclusive hiring practices and consistently strong candidate experience.
- 2 to 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in medical device, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, engineering, quality, regulatory, operations, or commercial hiring.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, sales, or a similar field.
- Demonstrated success in building pipelines, engaging passive talent, and closing candidates in competitive markets.
- Ability to travel periodically across the client’s geographic footprint for recruiting support, hiring events, and stakeholder meetings.
