Role Purpose

The Recovery and Sustainability Superintendent is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient execution of Recovery & Sustainability campaigns and shutdown operations offshore. This role involves coordinating all phases—from planning and preparation through execution and closure—to limit downtime, uphold production reliability, and meet project goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and organize Recovery & Sustainability and shutdown activities in offshore settings.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, fostering a zero-incident culture.
• Assist the Offshore Installation Manager in crafting execution plans and prioritizing tasks.
• Coordinate preparation of work packages, inspections, repairs, isolations, and spading procedures.
• Oversee campaign readiness and track actions in collaboration with onshore teams.
• Manage contractor personnel to guarantee safe and prompt task completion.
• Monitor work progress with daily reporting and participate in coordination meetings.
• Confirm availability of necessary materials, equipment, consumables, and spare parts ahead of execution.
• Arrange service orders and contractor mobilization alongside onshore teams.
• Compile campaign data post-execution, prepare closeout reports, and document lessons learned.
• Contribute to risk assessments and ongoing improvements to optimize maintenance downtime.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant experience in Oil & Gas operations, shutdowns, campaigns, or maintenance projects.
• Solid understanding of Mechanical and Piping Construction principles.
• Familiarity with Management of Shutdowns and Campaigns processes.
• Basic knowledge of scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Proficiency in SAP Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Strong planning, organizational, leadership, and communication abilities.
• Aptitude to work effectively within diverse, multicultural teams.
• Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Competent with Microsoft Office suite applications.
• Self-driven and capable of performing with minimal supervision.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work in offshore Oil & Gas environments.
• Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary maintenance teams.
• Background in pressure vessel inspection, maintenance, and shutdown operations.
