Overview
The Heart of House role at Iris London is pivotal in delivering an exceptional experience for all guests and employees. As the agency’s face, you will be responsible for creating a warm and professional first impression, managing reception duties, and ensuring the front-of-house operations run seamlessly. This fixed-term position is maternity cover for 16 months and reports directly to the Facilities Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and engage clients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and friendliness.
- Serve as the first point of contact for the agency, overseeing Reception inbox and visitor inquiries.
- Coordinate arrivals and meetings to maintain scheduling efficiency.
- Maintain welcoming, organized, and presentation-ready reception and meeting spaces.
- Manage incoming deliveries and general administrative tasks related to reception.
- Support daily office functions and agency events.
- Prepare and publish "The Daily Boar" communication each afternoon for next day distribution.
- Update visitor schedules and signage to enhance reception communications.
- Create office music playlists aligned with agency culture to foster a positive atmosphere.
- Continuously seek improvements to the front-of-house experience through thoughtful initiatives.
Daily Schedule
- Morning (from 8:30 am): Open and prepare reception, check inbox, confirm guest arrivals and catering, and ready reception areas.
- Throughout the Day: Manage visitor inquiries, coordinate meeting rooms and hospitality, support events, and maintain shared spaces.
- Afternoon: Prepare reception for next day, publish daily communication, update playlists, and complete closing checks.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in reception, front of house, or hospitality roles.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Proficient in diary and meeting coordination.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Competent with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.

- Experience within a creative agency, hospitality, or client-facing setting.
- Event coordination knowledge.
