Job description
Job Overview
As a Receptionist at National Medical Care located in Makkah, you will be the welcoming face for visitors and patients, directing them appropriately within the facility and answering phone inquiries. Utilizing computerized appointment scheduling software, you will be responsible for managing patient bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide superior quality customer service ensuring compassionate and understanding interactions with every patient.
- Answer incoming phone calls and guide callers to the relevant departments.
- Welcome and orient visitors to various clinics and departments within the FHCC.
- Direct outpatients to their respective disciplines including OPD clinics and laboratories.
- Create new patient files and record essential patient information accurately.
- Verify patient financial coverage and collect necessary documentation.
- Collect payments from patients and promptly forward them to the General Cashier each day.
- Respond effectively to any inquiries from patients and visitors.
- Manage physician appointment requests from patients and medical staff, optimizing scheduling to maximize time utilization.
- Operate scheduling software to arrange patient appointments and confirm eligibility for treatment.
- Preserve patient confidentiality at all times.
- Maintain security through adherence to protocols, including monitoring logbooks and issuing visitor badges.
- Keep the reception area safe, orderly, and clean in compliance with procedures and regulations.
- Contribute to team goals by completing related tasks as required.
- Adhere to all department policies and participate in ongoing educational programs such as training on policies, fire safety, risk management, and environmental controls.
- Follow the CARE dress code standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, consistent with your skills and knowledge.
Required Experience and Skills
- At least one year of recent experience in a reception or clerical role within a medium to large healthcare facility.
- Demonstrates courtesy, cooperation, and respect when interacting with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
- Strong customer care abilities.
