Job Summary and Responsibilities

We seek a full-time Rebar Detailer to join our team in Northridge, CA. Candidates should be local and able to collaborate effectively within a team and coordinate project activities across relevant departments and clients.

• Interpret architectural and structural design drawings accurately.
• Produce submittal drawings, shop drawings, and modify design drawings as necessary.
• Collaborate with senior detailers or supervisors to incorporate routine elements such as elevations, sections, plans, bending details, placing, and material lists.
• Maintain precise and current job documentation including logs, phone records, change orders, and RFIs.
• Understand all construction phases and procedures thoroughly.
• Apply knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
• Exhibit strong organizational and time management capabilities.
• Think proactively and plan workflow efficiently.
• Demonstrate analytical problem-solving and resolution skills.
• Communicate clearly and professionally in both verbal and written forms.
• Work cooperatively within a team environment with openness.
• Engage in project planning and coordination with internal departments and clients.
• Possess strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Understand properties of reinforcing steel (rebar).
• Undertake any additional responsibilities related to the job not explicitly listed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum two years of experience in reinforcing steel detailing or an equivalent educational background.
• Proficiency with MicroStation software is preferred.
• Experience with CAD software is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ASA Rebar software is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and reinforcing steel plans.
