Overview
We are seeking a Law Clerk on a contract basis to work remotely across the United States. This position offers hourly pay between $42 and $55 and requires a commitment of 10 to 40 hours per week. The role involves thorough review and analysis of land control legal documents supporting real estate and infrastructure projects.
Key Job Duties
- Analyze various land control legal instruments including deeds, ground leases, rights of way, and easement agreements focusing on terms, exclusivity, and conveyance provisions.
- Detect any gaps, deficiencies, or issues related to execution in site control document packages.
- Compile and present findings in clear, consistent formats suitable for review by senior legal personnel.
- Assist in due diligence processes by processing, annotating, and evaluating land and real estate documentation.
- Identify and report non-compliant or incomplete filings based on specific project and regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with senior reviewers to address and resolve complex documentation concerns.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a paralegal or legal document reviewer, preferably in sectors such as energy, real estate, or infrastructure.
- Practical expertise in examining land control documentation like deeds, ground leases, easements, and rights of way.
- Strong capability to interpret terms related to duration, exclusivity, and conveyance within legal agreements.
- Exceptional attention to detail with aptitude to organize findings in standardized and systematic ways.
- Comfort and proficiency working autonomously in a remote setting with intensive document management.
