Job description
Job Summary
This position focuses on sourcing, assessing, and closing real estate investment opportunities, with strong financial and commercial analysis used to guide strategic decisions. The role also owns investment appraisal, due diligence, financial modelling, and portfolio performance review to improve returns and reduce risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, assess, and propose real estate investment opportunities across a range of asset classes.
- Create detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and feasibility studies to support decision-making.
- Study market conditions and review economic, demographic, and property-sector trends.
- Develop investment memorandums, business cases, and recommendations for the Investment Committee and senior leadership.
- Coordinate and lead financial, legal, commercial, and technical due diligence activities.
- Evaluate opportunities involving acquisitions, development projects, joint ventures, and asset disposals.
- Carry out investment underwriting using DCF, IRR, NPV, ROI, and sensitivity analysis techniques.
- Track portfolio performance and suggest improvements to enhance results.
- Support transaction structuring, negotiation, and execution with both internal teams and outside stakeholders.
- Work closely with Finance, Legal, Asset Management, Development, and external advisors throughout the investment process.
- Ensure all work aligns with investment policies, governance requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Prepare recurring investment reports, market intelligence updates, and portfolio dashboards.
- Keep benchmark data and market intelligence current to strengthen investment strategy.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required.
The role calls for 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.
