Eligibility and appointment requirements
Applicants need to meet the closing-date criteria for the role. This includes one of the following: a QQI Level 5 qualification in Health Skills (formerly FETAC), or an equivalent relevant healthcare qualification recognised within the QQI NARIC Ireland framework, or current employment as a Health Care Assistant or in a similar comparable role.
Candidates must also demonstrate the personal competence and ability to carry out the responsibilities of the post effectively.
Health and character requirements
Anyone appointed to the role must be fit and capable of performing the duties reliably and regularly, with a level of health that supports consistent service. A good character is also required.
