About the Role

Aureos is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to contribute to a major highways project based in Liverpool. This opportunity is ideal for those who want to join a growing company that truly values and supports its employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee application and credit control procedures.
  • Manage income optimization strategies.
  • Handle costing and forecasting processes thoroughly.
  • Supervise the change control system.
  • Participate in project risk management activities.
  • Control Cost to Complete (CTC) and Contract Variation Requests (CVRs).
  • Administer the entire subcontract cycle effectively.
  • Provide commercial guidance to the Project Team.
  • Foster a cooperative and trustworthy environment within the Project Commercial Team and with clients and subcontractors.
  • Manage dispute resolution processes.
  • Maintain clear communication within the Project Commercial Team and the wider Project Team.
  • Oversee training plans and contribute to the tendering procedures.
  • Mentor and train an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
  • Requirement to travel for work, including overnight stays 1 to 2 nights weekly and visits to multiple renewable projects across the UK.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Degree-qualified or equivalent HND/HNC certification.
  • Working towards a professional qualification.
  • Significant post-degree experience in a contracting commercial department.
  • Solid understanding of construction industry contract conditions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Confidence in delivering training and coaching to others.
