About the Role
Join the innovative MENA Grocery team to help redefine customer expectations in grocery shopping by leading new business initiatives from scratch. This position focuses on maintaining exceptional quality standards for Meat, Seafood, Produce, and other perishable items at Amazon's Ultra-Fast Grocery (UFG) business, a key factor in customer satisfaction and business differentiation.
Responsibilities
- Inspect quality of Meat, Seafood, Fruits, Vegetables, Eggs, and perishables during inbound operations at stores, hubs, and vendor locations.
- Reject defective or damaged products by sending them back to vendors and document rejected items by vendor, item, and quantity.
- Conduct quality audits during the picking and packing stages executed by LPC associates.
- Oversee packaging standards compliance throughout the packing process.
- Perform daily bin audits and provide timely reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Train store and hub personnel on quality standards, standard operating procedures, and packaging protocols.
- Work may include weekends but is limited to a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in effective written and oral communication across technical, business, and executive audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel skills.
- Certifications including HACCP, Dubai Municipality PIC 3 (Person In Charge), ISO 22000, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Knowledge of food safety standards relating to fruit and vegetable quality, with familiarity of the Dubai Al Aweer Central Fruit Market.
Preferred Background
- Experience working in dynamic, technology-driven environments with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
- Proven communication skills with senior management and customers, both oral and written.
