Job description
Job Purpose
The role focuses on ensuring product quality compliance across the region, including retail stores, central bakery, and fresh vendor facilities. It involves conducting quality coaching visits to meet regulatory requirements and internal company standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Implement the Product Quality Coach Program within Panda Retail Stores, Facilities, and Omnichannel channels to guarantee adherence to the highest quality standards and Panda's requirements.
- Follow the Product Quality Coach visiting schedule to assist in introducing improvement initiatives.
- Generate reports on any non-compliance issues, communicate findings to relevant departments, and oversee resolution until closure.
- Administer supplier quality audit programs for private label food and non-food vendors, as well as for fresh categories such as meat, produce, and deli, ensuring supplier adherence to standards and food safety protections.
- Report and track non-conformance reports (NCRs) to departments and confirm their closure.
- Investigate customer complaints and NCRs, analyze findings, and submit reports to the Quality Operation Regional Manager along with suggested corrective actions for issue resolution.
- Complete complaint and investigation documentation and relay these to the Operation Regional Manager.
- Oversee pest control and hygiene service activities at stores and facilities, communicate related issues, and ensure follow-up.
- Contribute to the development of quality training materials and conduct sessions to enhance staff knowledge and performance standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Food Science, Microbiology, Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
- Lead auditor certification is advantageous.
- At least 5 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 3 years in an audit and quality role.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and supplier audit processes.
- Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP, ISO, AIB, BRC, and compliance with Saudi regulatory authority standards.
- Experience working within food safety and hygiene domains in manufacturing, retail, or hospitality sectors.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with ability to develop others, uphold excellence, pay attention to detail, and effectively manage complexity and pressure.
- Possesses diplomatic, tactful, and resilient character attributes.
