Job description

Position Summary

Join Uniting as a Quality Improvement Specialist located in Kingscliff, Yamba, or Goonellabah, contributing to enhanced quality management within the Residential Aged and Health Care team across these North Coast sites. This full-time role operates standard hours from 9:00am to 5:00pm with flexible start and finish times, requiring monthly travel between the specified locations and occasional trips to other nearby areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Residential Aged and Health Care team.
  • Lead and assist in implementing stream-wide quality strategies and initiatives locally in collaboration with the broader team.
  • Support and coach service managers in conducting quality improvement efforts such as auditing, complaints handling, and incident management.
  • Provide specialized guidance on clinical governance and quality management directly to local operational teams.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum three years’ experience in a quality improvement capacity within a medium to large-sized organisation.
  • Current AHPRA registration is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven expertise in advising on complaints management and clinical investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of modern quality management practices within health and aged care sectors.
  • A commitment to driving social change and supporting disadvantaged populations.
  • Ability to navigate complex organisational structures, build effective relationships, and influence without direct authority.
