Quality Director

About the Role

Redtree, a growing engineering consulting firm known for technical excellence and trusted client relationships, is seeking a Quality Director. This key leadership position will spearhead the development and management of the quality assurance and control functions as the company expands its engineering and project delivery teams. The role focuses on establishing strong quality systems and fostering a culture where quality is a strategic advantage, not merely a compliance checkbox.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage Redtree's comprehensive quality management system, including standards, review protocols, and QA/QC procedures across all engineering outputs.
• Implement and oversee quality control checkpoints within project lifecycles, spanning from initial design phases to the final delivery stage.
• Collaborate closely with engineering leaders and project teams to proactively identify and mitigate quality risks prior to client delivery.
• Lead root cause investigations and direct corrective actions when quality issues occur.
• Develop and maintain documentation standards, auditing routines, and ensure compliance with pertinent industry codes and regulations.
• Guide and mentor engineering personnel on quality best practices, promoting a culture of responsibility and technical excellence.
• Provide regular reports on quality metrics, trends, and continuous improvement efforts to senior leadership.
• Participate in client-facing quality reviews and audits as necessary.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in engineering quality assurance and control roles, including leadership experience within formal QA/QC or quality management capacities.
• Professional background in Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC), energy, power, or technical engineering consulting sectors.
• Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license is advantageous; strong familiarity with industry-standard codes and regulations is expected.
• Proven track record of building or advancing quality management programs, suited for a leadership role focused on program growth rather than upkeep.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership abilities; adept at presenting quality data and initiatives to executive teams.
• Experienced in QA/QC documentation, auditing, and managing corrective actions.
• Highly self-motivated and effective in a dynamic and expanding company environment.
