Job description

About the Company

NetServices (NSI), now part of Synergy ECP, is an IT services organization known for delivering dependable and cost-efficient solutions that create long-term value. The company has built its reputation on agility, client commitment, and a strong focus on keeping exceptional professionals on its team. Its work spans demanding technology programs, and its tightly connected group of highly cleared engineers, analysts, and program managers is regarded as some of the strongest local talent.

Role Overview

As a Quality Assurance Tester, you will help ensure software products are stable, accurate, and performant by using both manual and automated testing approaches. You will build and run test cases, uncover and record defects, and work closely with developers to close issues quickly. The position calls for hands-on experience with scripting and automation using .Net, Python, bash, PowerShell, and/or JavaScript/TypeScript, along with the ability to validate user interfaces and application flows across front-end frameworks. Careful attention to detail is essential to confirm that releases meet high quality expectations before deployment.

The role also offers exposure to testing frameworks, defect management tools, and continuous integration environments, while strengthening your ability to troubleshoot problems across multiple layers of an application.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, refine, and run both automated and manual test scenarios for web-based applications.
  • Partner with development teams to maintain quality across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Record, manage, and follow defects through established tracking workflows.
  • Evaluate front-end frameworks for behavior, usability, and cross-compatibility.
  • Review test outcomes and share practical recommendations with developers.
  • Take part in planning discussions, effort estimation, and progress/status meetings.
  • Keep test materials and documentation current as requirements evolve.

Required Experience and Tools

  • Overall professional experience of 8 years.
  • At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance or software testing across manual and automated work.
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian tools such as JIRA or Confluence.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium and Cypress.
  • Ability to run queries to confirm and validate data.
  • Experience using Git or GitLab for source control.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
  • About 1 year of experience working in AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Exposure to .Net development or testing.
  • Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Background with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Experience working in a secure environment.

Security and Eligibility

This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance to be considered. Candidates must also be U.S. citizens.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $150,000 annually, with flexibility for exceptional candidates whose background, experience, and qualifications justify a higher offer. The total rewards package is intended to be competitive and includes more than pay alone.

Benefits include a comprehensive health and retirement package, including medical coverage and a 401(k) plan. The company also provides support resources through People Partners and wellness-related offerings through its healthcare provider.

Career development is encouraged through company-sponsored continuing education, helping employees pursue degrees or certifications that support advancement.

Work-life balance is supported with generous paid time off, 10 paid holidays each year, and flexible work options designed to fit different schedules and lifestyles.

The organization also emphasizes community involvement and philanthropy, encouraging employees to contribute time and energy to causes that matter to them.
