About Truework and Checkr

Truework, now part of Checkr, specializes in providing essential employment, income, and asset verification data used in mortgage processing, rental agreements, background checks, and other applications. Operating independently within Checkr, Truework innovates rapidly and leverages core company strengths, challenging a $5B+ legacy market with superior products and customer focus.

Checkr powers AI-driven verifications for over 140,000 businesses, including Uber and Amazon, helping millions during important life moments. Recognized by Forbes Cloud 100 and Y Combinator, Checkr fosters a dynamic and mission-driven team.

Role Overview

This role involves ensuring the accuracy and compliance of Truework verification reports and outreach workflows. You will audit reports for data integrity, consistency, and professionalism, applying QA rules and monitoring communication cadences across phone, email, and fax channels. Your efforts will enhance verifier satisfaction, reduce process rework, and support timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine completed verification reports to validate identity/entity matches, data completeness, consistency, and accuracy based on defined QA rules.
  • Conduct randomized outreach quality assessments on manual-source verifications through various communication methods to confirm proper logging, cadence adherence, and communication professionalism.
  • Use internal validations to ensure critical fields are populated correctly and flag any illogical or missing data elements.
  • Precisely record QA results (pass, soft fail, hard fail, warning) with evidence and references to support prompt corrections and learning.
  • Collaborate with team leaders to resolve inconsistencies, coach staff on standards, and reduce repeated errors over time.
  • Maintain SLA and KPI goals by timely reviewing workloads and escalating risks for sensitive verifications.

Candidate Profile

  • Background or interest in QA, operations auditing, or compliance, especially relating to background screening, voice of employer/income lending, HR operations, or other data-sensitive areas.
  • Familiarity with Truework verification processes, manual outreach mechanisms, transcription best practices, and quality assurance concepts.
  • Keen attention to detail, effective structured documentation skills, strong written communication, and professional conduct.
  • Analytical capability to differentiate severity of issues, escalate as needed, and suggest corrective actions.
  • Experience or understanding of audit sampling and metric tracking via tools like Looker dashboards.
  • Knowledge of practices related to the Fair Credit Reporting Act and secure data management.
  • Proactive, results-oriented mindset with urgency, resilience in ambiguity, and accountability for impactful delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $18.27 to $23.08, depending on location, with specific targets provided during candidate discussions. Checkr provides a dynamic work atmosphere encouraging collaboration and growth, featuring:

  • Opportunities for fast-paced teamwork and learning
  • Development allowances
  • Competitive salary and equity options
  • Full medical, dental, and vision plans
  • Up to $25,000 reimbursement for family-related planning services
  • Flexible paid time off
  • Monthly wellness stipends

Work Environment and Location

While the role is remote, Checkr values in-office collaboration with hubs in Denver, San Francisco, Nashville, and Santiago. Employees are expected to work onsite at least three days weekly if local, with perks including daily lunches, commuter supports, and snacks. Relocation assistance may be available for those willing to join one of these hubs.
