About the Role
As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery and compliance of the Christchurch Water Safety Plans, Stormwater Management Plans, Environmental Management Plan, and Three Waters consent conditions. Your responsibilities will include conducting site audits, performing sampling, verifying adherence to relevant legislation, and researching and analyzing data to inform the Quality and Compliance team's decisions.
About You
We are looking for an individual with proven customer-facing and presentation skills, capable of effectively communicating with internal stakeholders across all levels of the organization. Excellent relationship-building abilities are essential, along with the capacity to provide high-level analysis and recommendations to the Council. Proficiency in using various computer programs for research, analysis, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases is required. Additionally, you should possess:
- A tertiary qualification in environmental science, engineering, water, resource management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant area such as auditing, reporting, or engineering.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- A valid Class 1 Driver's Licence (motor vehicle).

- Position Type: Permanent, full-time.
- Location: Primarily based at Te Hononga, Christchurch City Council Civic Offices - 53 Hereford Street.
- Salary: The salary band for this position ranges from $81,227 to $90,252 per annum, based on a 40-hour week. Initial salary will be determined by the candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, and internal relativities.
