Job description
Overview
The Quality Assurance Officer will be stationed at the North Industrial Area Site/Tesano within the Quality Regulatory Affairs Department to ensure rigorous in-process quality assurance and control throughout product manufacturing. This role involves real-time monitoring of compliance with manufacturing protocols to guarantee that final products adhere strictly to stated specifications and marketing approvals.
Core Duties
- Conduct continuous inspection and supervision of manufacturing steps to assure adherence to quality assurance procedures and in-process product checks at workstations.
- Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Quality Management System (QMS) standards, emphasizing quality integration in all company operations on the production floor.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of production documentation and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) to maintain material traceability.
- Perform line clearance before and after each batch production respecting BMR guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and mix-ups.
- Identify and report any non-compliance issues, halting production operations as necessary to protect product integrity and safety.
- Supervise and verify dispensing of input materials on the production floor ensuring materials align with specifications and possess required Quality Assurance release labels.
- Document manufacturing activities meticulously in real time to reflect an accurate and undisputed record of production processes.
- Provide real-time guidance and corrective direction to production teams to avert any defective product generation and ensure ongoing compliance with product specifications during in-process quality control tests.
- Raise non-compliance and incident reports for occurrences such as unauthorized material usage, expired or off-spec materials, deviations from approved process specifications, unexpected production interruptions, and any event potentially impacting product quality or safety.
- Assist in developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) pertinent to in-process quality controls and production floor activities.
- Coordinate sampling and laboratory quality checks, and communicate test outcomes promptly to production operators to inform adjustments.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Exceptional attention to detail and meticulousness in quality control tasks.
- Strong capability to interpret and execute technical SOPs independently while maintaining consistent product quality.
- Proficiency in investigating product failures, developing corrective action plans and preventive measures.
- Experience in drafting and reviewing technical quality control SOPs and reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present scientific data clearly.
- Ability to analyze raw data and prepare trend analyses with visual presentations.
- Minimum of two years experience in quality control or quality assurance within cGMP or stringent QMS environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science, Laboratory Science, or a Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology.
