Job Overview
This role involves comprehensive quality assurance and regulatory reporting duties centered around MAS Notice 610 within a banking context. The position demands rigorous validation and reconciliation of regulatory returns, thorough reviews of reporting frameworks, and ensuring compliance with all risk management policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct meticulous reviews of regulatory submissions related to MAS Notice 610 before and after filing.
- Carry out reconciliation procedures that surpass standard business validation checks for the Notice 610 submission portal.
- Analyze and assess changes in regulatory reporting business rules, mapping schedules, and ledger classifications.
- Verify the precision of underlying data sources including manual and ad hoc documentation and adjustments.
- Perform periodic evaluations of the Notice 610 regulatory framework, inclusive of policies and procedures updates.
- Facilitate timely reporting of regulatory incidents such as erroneous or delayed returns and contribute to remediation documentation.
- Manage reporting processes both externally to regulators and internally to senior leadership and governance bodies.
- Maintain and improve the regulatory reporting risk management framework ensuring adherence to all controls, policies, and procedures.
- Support the rollout of new regulatory requirements and coordinate communications with external consultants as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess at least a diploma from an accredited educational institution.
- A minimum of four years’ experience in regulatory reporting, ideally within corporate banking.
- Demonstrated capability to track regulatory changes and adjust processes accordingly.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders for smooth project delivery.
