IT Manager - Vendor and Service Management (12-Month Contract)

About the Role

This position is a 12-month contract role focused on managing vendor relationships and IT service management functions. The IT Manager will serve as the main point of contact for third-party IT vendors, ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions that meet organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and nurture effective partnerships with external IT vendors, acting as the central liaison.
• Interpret and verify business needs, facilitating their transformation into precise technical specifications.
• Oversee and guarantee that all technical implementations conform to security, data integrity, functional, and performance benchmarks.
• Exercise governance to maintain vendor compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements.
• Serve as an escalation point to swiftly resolve any technical or contractual disputes with vendors.
• Engage with internal teams to understand shifting business requirements and ensure vendor deliverables are aligned.
• Perform periodic evaluations and audits of vendor performance to promote continuous enhancement.
• Assist in validating and thoroughly testing vendor solutions before their official deployment, ensuring standard conformance.
• Keep detailed records related to vendor contracts, technical needs, and governance activities.
• Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory rules to ensure vendor adherence and mitigate risks.

Key Collaborations

• Internal departments and project units to collect requirements and share updates.
• Third-party IT suppliers to monitor deliverables and enforce compliance.
• Information Security and Data Governance teams to maintain standards.
• Legal and Contract Management teams for contract and SLA oversight.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrates strong technical expertise relevant to IT service and vendor management.
• Experience converting complex business needs into technical documentation and solutions.
• Has managed third-party vendors, preferably within regulated sectors such as healthcare or insurance.
• Familiar with security protocols, data quality management, and performance assessment for IT projects.
