Role overview

We are hiring an experienced, dependable Automotive Technician / Mechanic for a busy, long-running workshop in Onehunga, Auckland. The workshop handles a broad mix of vehicles and is known for quality workmanship, strong customer service, and a positive team culture.

This is a full-time position with standard hours of Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm.

What you will do

Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues across different vehicle makes and models.
Carry out servicing, maintenance, and general repair work on customer vehicles.
Perform WOF-related inspections and repairs.
Use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment correctly and efficiently.
Complete job cards and related workshop paperwork with accuracy.
Work with the wider team to keep the workshop organised, clean, and safe.

What we are looking for

A relevant New Zealand automotive qualification.
Proven experience working in the NZ automotive industry.
A full New Zealand driver licence.
A WoF ticket is highly desirable.
Strong fault-finding ability across a wide range of vehicles.
Someone who can work independently as well as contribute well in a team.
A dependable, self-driven, and motivated approach to work.
