QA/QC Civil Team Leader

About the Role

BEC Arabia is inviting applications for the position of QA/QC Civil Team Leader to join its construction division based in Riyadh. This position is key to maintaining exceptional quality standards and regulatory compliance across various projects like commercial towers, major residential developments, and infrastructure initiatives, supporting Saudi Vision 2030 and global benchmarks.

In this role, you will manage a team dedicated to quality assurance and control, working closely with project managers, engineers, and site personnel to enforce comprehensive QA/QC protocols throughout project phases—from inception to completion. Your leadership will help secure adherence to client criteria, regulatory codes, and sustainability practices, particularly green building standards. This opportunity enables participation in landmark giga-projects in the Kingdom, contributing to Saudi Arabia’s evolving infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the formulation and execution of QA/QC procedures and standards specific to civil engineering projects.
• Ensure all activities comply with the Saudi Building Code, ARAMCO standards, and other regulatory requirements.
• Perform regular quality inspections and audits on construction sites to verify conformity with project specifications.
• Liaise with project teams and subcontractors to resolve quality-related challenges promptly.
• Prepare and manage thorough quality documentation including inspection test plans, non-conformance reports, and quality checklists.
• Align civil projects with sustainability frameworks such as LEED, Mostadam, and ISO 9001 standards.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to QA/QC team members to bolster their capabilities.
• Work with clients and external inspectors to facilitate smooth project approvals and handovers.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
• Promote digital quality management tools including Building Information Modeling (BIM).
• Adhere to Saudization (Nitaqat) and GOSI compliance throughout all quality-related operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years’ experience in quality assurance and control within the construction sector.
• Relevant certifications such as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, or similar credentials.
• Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is mandatory.
• Demonstrated expertise in quality management systems and inspection protocols aligned with regulatory standards.
• Skilled in Primavera P6, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MS Office applications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Saudi Building Code and ARAMCO quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is advantageous.
• Experience supporting giga-scale projects or extensive infrastructure programs.
• Familiarity with BIM and digital construction methodologies.
• Advanced certifications such as LEED AP or PMP enhance suitability.
• Understanding of sustainability frameworks including Mostadam and Estidama.

Working Conditions

• Primary work location on-site with frequent visits to construction areas around Riyadh.
• Exposure to harsh outdoor climate conditions, such as high temperatures common in Saudi Arabia.
• Mandatory usage of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all construction sites.
• Standard working hours supplemented by occasional overtime to meet deadlines.
