About the Role
Join BEC Concrete Solutions in Riyadh as a QA/QC - Civil Inspector, where you will play a key role in upholding superior quality standards on landmark construction initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Verify that civil engineering works strictly conform to approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
- Observe and oversee construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to established quality control procedures and plans.
- Perform material sampling and testing to confirm compliance with project specifications and industry benchmarks.
- Compile detailed inspection documentation, including non-conformance reports and corrective action plans when necessary.
- Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to swiftly address and resolve any quality issues.
- Ensure all works comply with Saudi Building Code (SBC), ARAMCO, and other regulatory standards.
- Review and authorize quality-related documents such as method statements, inspection test plans, and material submissions.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 quality management systems and related certifications.
- Take part in both internal and external audits to promote continuous QA/QC improvements.
- Work alongside safety personnel to integrate quality and safety protocols on construction sites.
- Confirm that corrective measures are effectively executed and properly recorded.
- Assist in educating junior team members and contractors on quality standards and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of QA/QC experience within the construction sector.
- Certification in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems or an equivalent qualification.
- Registered member of the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
- Knowledgeable about Saudi Building Code (SBC) and ARAMCO regulations.
- Skilled in quality management tools including AutoCAD, Primavera P6, or equivalents.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and testing protocols.
- Excellent proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for reporting and communication purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Possession of NEBOSH or OSHA safety certifications.
- Experience with green building standards such as LEED, Estidama, or Mostadam.
- Advanced expertise in non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
- Previous involvement in mega-projects aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is advantageous.
Working Conditions
- Based primarily in Riyadh, with potential travel to various project locations within Saudi Arabia.
- Work environment split between office settings and active construction sites.
- Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) while on site.
- Exposure to typical hot and dry climate conditions prevalent in the region.
